The Photographer
Hello! My name is Cadence. I am the small business owner of Wildflower Soul Photography! I am 21 years old, and I was born and raised in Calumet, Oklahoma. During my high school years, I went to a trade school to get my certificate in Digital Media Technology - Photography. I now use everything I have learned to better my business. The number one takeaway I have been taught was that networking will get you SO far. Go to those workshops, that film set, pass out your business cards, apply for a booth at a vendor market, make photographer friends!
I now reside in Anchorage, Alaska. I have been living up north for three years now, and it is a decision I will never regret. I have a front row seat to God's creation, and He has built such a beautiful place that I get to photograph and also call home. I have accomplished so much up here with unwavering support and with God's grace. I have begun selling my prints, participated in artist markets as a vendor, picked up film photography, had the honorable opportunity to be a still and BTS photographer for a feature film, and made so many friends along the way. Memories have been made, and challenges have been faced, and I am still grateful that my business has been more successful than ever.
You will probably find me snuggling my kitty mo's - Rice and Gravy - on the couch, watching Instagram reels with my fiancé Easton, at a local coffee shop or plant store, contemplating if I should get another plant (unbeknownst to me, it is the hardest plant to take care of and I will accidentally kill the plant within a month... so I just go with a succulent or cactus, oops). Or you will see me out in nature trying to take an extreme closeup of a nearby leaf. Or, or wait I have a better one - eating a steak at Chili's (mmmhmmmm)!
On a more serious note, I have more things I enjoy other than photography or big backin'. I love to embroider! It helps time go by and during the long, dark winters, it helps keep me sane. I love to paint and play Stardew Valley. You can't live in Alaska without hiking, so I love to do that too. I love baking - lemme know if you want some naner bread :p
